Holy Trinity Church
One of the locations that we are going to use in the filming of our trailer is a church. This is very much appropriate for the theme of trailer as it is a supernatural sub genre that involves possession and revolves around christian symbolism. There is no more perfect location to film than a church.
Shoot Purpose: The purpose of our shoot on this sight is to get the bulk of our trailer filmed. We need to get atleast 40 to 50 seconds worth of footage (after editing) filmed at this location.
Location Address: Holy Trinity Church Bromley Common BR2 8LA
Site Contact: Rev George Collett - 02084627561
Access: Permission given
Lighting: The church has been modernized so the interior can be well lit, however since horror films require lowkey lighting we will be using our own lighting to effect. This is because we can't have an evenly lit room and still create tension aswell as filming the outside of the church which doesn't have such good lighting.
Shots: The first shot of the trailer that will be used is an establishing shot to show the audience that the narrative is taking place here. We may use close ups of different symbols in the church to get across the visual codes. We may also take zoomed in shots of different decaying parts of church to give textures develop the location as old and abandoned.
|
Props: We will be using a DSLR camera and tripod. Both of these are very important s we need the tripod to create a steady establishing shot to show at the beginning of the trailer that this is where the narrative takes place.
Space: There is more than enough space for the crew and cast as it is a place where many people meet weekly to worship their deity.

Location Inspiration:
This trailer was inspirational as it shows how wide space inside a church can be used.
|
This trailer was inspirational as it showed how use of props and symbolism can add to the effect of a trailer.
|
This trailer was inspirational as it showed how a narration could be used over a shots of a location for effect.

RISK ASSESSMENT:
Graveyard
One of the locations that we were going to use is the cemetery. This will be cut so that it looks like it is directly next to the church
Shoot Purpose: We plan on using this location as a place to help with textures. A small part of our trailer will be taking place in the graveyard
Location Address: Holy Trinity Church Bromley Common BR2 8LA
Site Contact: Rev George Collett - 02084627561
Access: Permission given

Lighting: Since we plan on filming this at night there will be very little to no lighting. This means that we will have to bring our own artificial lighting to illuminate our shots correctly.
Shots: We may use sweeping shots of the graveyard to give the idea of death and decay.
|
Props: We are going to be using a DSLR camera and tripod. They are important as the graveyard is important for textures. So high quality footage is needed to give the desired effect.
Space: There is more than enough space for the cast and crew.
|
Location Inspiration:
|
This trailer was inspirational as it showed how effective graveyards and zoom in shots of headstones could be for creating textures. The use of narration was also effective in this trailer.
|
Risk Assessment:
Klinger Factory
One of the locations that we may use in our trailer is an abandoned warehouse. It would help set the deserted mood of the film using textures to set a context to the scenes.
Lighting: The location is was abandoned and so doesn't have any lighting of it's own. It is far away enough from a road or main walkway that there aren't any street lights to illuminate it. This means that our own lighting will be essential to shooting here.
|
Props: We are once again going to be using this location for textures to connote decay and abandonment so we will be using it for texture shoots and may even use it for the quick cuts that will be happening at the climax of our trailer. This means that a camera, lamps, and tripod will be needed to achieve this at a high quality.
|
Shots: We will be using zoomed shots of broken down parts of the factory. We may use a shot through a broken window or through bars to give the idea that the person in frame is being watched
|
Space: The space is very large so there will be more than enough space to place the cast and crew. So much space that creating sense of abandonment will be very easy with the correct camera work.
|
Location Inspiration:
This trailer was effective as it showed how wide open spaces and a small number of people in wide frame could connote a sense of loneliness and abandonment of a location to the audience.
|
This trailer was inspirational as the Saw franchise showed how the use of one location in a warehouse could make for many exciting scenes in a horror movie.
|
Risk Assessment:
Woods
We plan on using the woods as they are a classic horror staple when it comes to creating a sense of fear of what's lurking in the dark. The woods being a place that nobody should be when it gets dark.
Location Address: Thornet Wood Rd, London BR5 1DA
Site Contact: 01689862815
Access: Public Area so permission not needed

Access: Public Area so permission not needed
Lighting: There is absolutely no lighting in the woods and is far away from street lighting so we would have to use our own lighting and lamps to illuminate the way and to create the right lighting for our shots.
Shots: We will be making use of the space to either denote the main antagonist or protagonist in long shots. We feel this is appropriate as it adds to the sense of emptiness in frame and a long shot doesn't give too much away about the antagonist
|
Props: We are going to be using a lamp, camera, and tripod at this location.
Space: There is a lot of space so fitting the camera, crew and cast in the the location. Space is abundant

Lighting: The rooms have their own lighting. It wont be absolutely necessary for us to use our own lighting to illuminate space and shots correctly
|
Props: We will be using a camera tripod and our own lighting. We weren't able to check all the rooms
|
Shots: We are going to use an over the shoulder close up shot of the protagonist looking in the mirror. It is a key part of the key scene in our trailer
|
Space: There isn't much space in each room so maybe we can fit two cast members and a crew member with a camera and tripod into a room comfortably
|
Risk Assessment:
The old police station is a public area that has been open for public use for a long time. This means that there a very few risks that haven't already been assessed and eliminated already by the people facilitating use of the location.
