Purpose of Data Collection For AUDIENCE RESEARCH
Our target audience research requires us to find out directly from our target audience (15-25yr olds) what they want to see in our trailer, poster, and magazine. This enables us to produce a final product that appeals to the target audience. In order to do this we created 30 questions (10 for each product). We then used social media and networking applications and services to ask people of this target audience. This included Whatsapp, iMessage, Snapchat, etc. We made sure to ask media and non media students to ensure we had a wide range of people and a valid sample.

Survey Monkey
Survey monkey was another way of collecting data. A survey containing the 10 questions made and sent to 10 different participants that could either use the survey monkey app that they downloaded onto their phone or complete the survey using a computer.

CONCLUSION
The information that we have gathered from our target audience has allowed for us to create better products as we have a better understanding of what this demographic wants from a horror trailer, magazine, and poster. To ensure that our products are the best that they can be we will be taking the suggestions and qualitative data into consideration. The audience were able to visually understanding exactly what each question was asking with the use of images and videos. This made for a more accurate and rich data collection process.
